State expresses grief over demise of Maulana Zubair ul Hasan

A wave of shock and mourning spread across the city after the news of Ameer Tablighi Jamaat Maulana Zubair ul Hasan's death in New Delhi on Tuesday after prolong illness.

Muslim scholars, clerics, community leaders and members from the city and State have expressed profound grief over the demise of Maulana Zubair ul Hasan. 

All India Muslim Personal law Board member and senior Congress leader Arif Masood, internationally acclaimed Urdu poet from the State capital Manzar Bhopali, former State Minister and former chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Minority Commission Ibrahim Qureshi, Chairman MP Minority department Mohammed Saleem and others have expressed profound grief over the demise of Maulana Zubair ul Hasan and prayed that “May God grant peace to the departed soul and provide us an opportunity to follow the path shown by him”. Arif Masood in his message on the occasion said Hazrat Maulana Zubair Hasan was selected as Ameer, Tablighi Jamat in 1995 at a time when Tablighi Jamat had become an international movement and there was a strong need of its consolidation. Maulana proved himself true to the standards as set out by the seniors of the movement.

During last two decades, Maulana has strengthened the movement enormously by his hard work, dedication for the movement and knowledge, he added. Masood prayed peace for the departed soul and strength for his followers to bear the shock.  Maulana Zubair ul Hasan died in Ram Manohar lohia Hospital (RMl) in New Delhi, formerly known as Willingdon Hospital, on early Tuesday morning. 

Maulana Zubair ul Hasan was also a member of International Tablighi Shura. He was a son of former Ameer Tablighi Jamaat, Maulana Inam Ul Hasan who was the third Ameer of Tablighi Jamaat following Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Kandhalawi and Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Kandhalawi.
