Saturday, 26 July 2014 | Sumedha Chaudhury | Ranchi

Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor starrer movie ‘Singham Returns’ releasing this Independence Day will give you a chance to watch Ranchi-based choreographer Devjyoti Naha dancing with the actor in the title track. The 29-year-old resident of Tharpakhna locality will be shooting for the song with Devgan from July 26 to 28.

Naha, an expert in classical and modern dance forms is involved in the artistic performance since the age of three years. He had assisted state’s renowned dancer Vipul Nayak in Deepanjali Cultural and Performing Arts Institute, lalpur for a long time. For past five and half years, Naha is working as teacher in India’s one of the popular choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s Dancing Academy (GADA) at Kolkata.

Also, he has presented a solo dance in Sony Entertainment Television’s ongoing reality show ‘Entertainment ke liye Kuch Bhi Karega.’ Sources maintain the completion of ‘Singham Returns’ is awaited due to the shooting schedule of title track.

“I always wanted to promote my hometown. Many of my trained kids have contested in Sony Television’s Boogie Woogie programme. Two of my Ranchi based students trained at GADA had then accompanied Ajay Devgan in the title track of Singham movie released in 2011. This time I have got the scope to lead a team of GADA’s seven junior dancers with Devgan. We are departing for Mumbai today. Rehearsals would begin from Friday onwards,” Naha said in a telephonic conversation from Kolkata on Thursday.

“Whatever I am today is because of my mother Hashi Naha who made it sure to make me participate in all kinds of dancing competitions. Being a boy, school mates used to tease me for choosing a career in dance. Their attitude had changed today. In fact, I am invited as Chief Guest in various dancing events,” Naha added.
