Expressing grave concern over closure of road link from the VSS Nagar area to the rest of the city at Satsang Vihar, the Veera Surendra Sai Nagar Unayan Parishad has warned that residents of VSS Nagar would take to the streets if the link is not opened within seven days.
The road pass at Saatsang Vihar was closed with opening of the new NH road from Vaani Vihar rail over bridge to Jaydev Vihar on Thursday. As a result thousands of residents of VSS Nagar and 10 mouzas and slum dwellers are facing problem to go into the city area. Now they have been forced to take turn at the Rasulgar Square, and, thus, are travelling two-three kilometers more to go into the city.
Parishad president Hrudayram Brahma, general Secretary Dillip Dashsharma, Durgapuja Committee president Shiva Prasad Mishra, general secretary Artatran Dalai, Er Biswaranjan Sahu, Nimain Charan Das, Mamata Behera, Ramchandra Samal, Dhirendranath Dash and Nalini Mohanty have expressed concern over the closure.
