Monday, 15 September 2014 | Staff Reporter | Raipur

Government employees working in Indravati Bhawan which houses the offices of heads of departments in Naya Raipur have threatened to stage demonstrations in support of their charter of demands.

The employees, in a press conference held here, accused the State government and Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) on failing to start amenities such as Canteen, Bank and ATM, 10-bed hospital, Treasury, Play School and Post Office in lobby-5 of Indrawati Bhawan.“The building for Bank, ATM, Treasury, Canteen, 10-bed hospital, Treasury, Play School and Post Office is ready but unnecessary delay in starting the same is causing huge inconvenience to the employees” they said.

On failing to get any satisfactory reply from the authorities, the employees have decided to stage demonstration under the banner of ‘Chhattisgarh Directorate (Head of Department) Government Employees Association’ on September 22.“We have also been urging the authorities concerned for extending facilities like increasing number of buses plying to Naya Raipur,  providing sufficient number of ceiling fans besides providing allowance at par with Secretariat employees” Association President Dr Jitendra Singh Thakur said.
