CM Patnaik inaugurates Dhauli police station

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated the Commissionerate Police’s 43rd police station at Dhauli here to provide better security to visitors coming to the tourist spot.

The Dhauli PS has been set up by carving out some areas which were earlier under the lingaraj police limits. Shishupalagad, Dhauli, Itipur and Tikarapada panchayats have come under the new PS.

Source said the police station has come up in a 3,650-sq-ft plinth area with a counselling room, an interrogation room and five hazats. A total of `77 lakh has been spent for construction of the PS building, the sources added.
