The Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium (BJEM) School on Saturday organsied an Odia language-based programme titled Faguna Kabita Asara (spring poetry recital session) in the school premises here to mark Classical status to Odia language.
Inaugurating the programme, noted litterateur Harekrushna Samal said the Classical tag has not only added value to the Odia language but also dignified lives of Odia people. Nalinikant Mohanty, secretary of Buxi Jagabandhu Sahitya Sansad, a literary outfit of the school moderated the programme.Among others, Sansad president and school Principal Jugal Kishore Mohanty, Vice-Principal Sandhya Jena were present. More than 30 poems were read by the teachers on the occasion.
