Following the demand of Rajya Sabha member Tarun Vijay, BJP-led NDA Government has kept AC special train, which was running between Dehradun to Delhi, after Goddess Nanda Devi. With this decision now onward AC special would be known as Nanda Devi Express.
For this a delegation met railway minister Sadanand Gowda and expressed gratitude for this. Explaining to the media, MP Tarun Vijay said that we were trying to educate the pilgrims especially who come to Uttarakhand, about Goddess Nanda Devi.
In this perspective we put a demand before the union government and they readily accepted our demand. The delegation, which met union railway minister, was comprised of Dev Singh Gusain Gambhir Singh Negi, Jai Singh Rana, loki Bist, Ajay Bist, Gajendra Singh Rana, Baspa Nandji, Jitendra Sajwan, Chand Kathait, Omprakash Gaur, Shashikant Thapliyal.
