The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Wednesday provided more facilities at Angul railway station like a retiring room and two dormitories.
The non-AC retiring room with two beds and the non-AC unisex dormitories with three beds were inaugurated at the railway station for use by passengers with immediate effect. The facilities have been opened for passengers who come to Angul from far flung places.
Any person with a valid ticket can book a bed in the dorm for Rs 40 for 12 hours and Rs 70 for 24 hours. To book the retiring room, passengers have to pay Rs 100 for 12 hours and Rs 180 for 24 hours. Passengers can book a dormitory to avoid being fleeced by cabbies who charge excessive fare during night.
