'Non-tobacco hookah injurious to health'

If you are fond of smoking non-tobacco hookah just to show off and are under impression that it is not injurious to health, better change your perception as according to physician it is also harmful for the health and may cause serious health complications. So, keep your enticement to hukkah away.

Senior physician Dr NS Bisht said, “The non-tobacco hukkah (NTH) smoking is also injurious to health. It may cause health problems, including damage to the lungs and throat. It may also cause ear disease. So those who often enjoy on non-tobacco hukkah must abstain from it.” Dr Bisht further revealed that NTH smoking may lead to bronchial asthma and other lungs related disease. Its smoking also leads to throat problem and ear disease. If smoking is continued for the long time, it would result into serious health ailments.

Dr Bisht advised the youngsters in particular and people in general to keep the smoking away. He rebuffed the common perception that NTH smoking is not injurious to heath saying that this is false and the people should change their perception.

Youths enjoy on NTH puffs, claiming that it is “safe” as there is no tobacco used in the NTH. They should know that any smoking is injurious to the heath and may cause damage to the lungs. Dr Bisht further said that the tobacco hukkah smoking is very much injurious to the heath. It leads to several complex health problems.

Dr Bisht appealed the people to quit the smoking for good health and not to be lured away by the tall claims of the people addicted to smoking that NTH smoking is safe. “If anyone has doubt, he should consult his physician in order to know the fact. And the fact is that any smoking is injurious to health,” Dr Bisht said.

It may be mentioned here that trend of NTH smoking is catching up among the people in the city. They smoke NTH just to show off. “Nothing is as important as health. So, keep your health on first priority and keep the bad habit of smoking away,” Dr Bisht advised. So, those visiting NTH bar very often must pay attention to the advice given by the senior physician for keeping you hale and hearty. It would be better, if those addicted to the NTH smoking take a pledge to quit it.
