Chacha Nehru Hospital & Research Centre, the only Government children hospital in the city will be equipped with more amenities and new wards will be added to it, besides a playroom for children will also be developed in the hospital.

This was announced by divisional commissioner Sanjay Dube here on Wednesday following an inspection of the hospital. During his inspection, the commissioner visited rehabilitation centre, Thalesemia ward, immunisation centre, intensive care unit, besides various wards of the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, commissioner said that bringing about qualitative improvement in medical facilities at MY hospital and Chacha Nehru children hospital tops the priority of the district administration and we would ensure that all the patients coming to these hospitals either from Indore and other parts of the State are not subjected to any inconveniences.

Talking about Chacha Nehru Children hospital, the commissioner said that since the hospital has ample space, efforts will be made for the expansion of medical facilities in the hospital besides constructing new wards and a playroom for the children. Expansion of medical facilities in the hospital would be made as per the requirements, he said adding that with the  expansion of medical facilities at Chachan Nehru Children hospital, child patients of MY hospital can also be transferred. Besides, he said that medical facilities will also be expanded for patients at MY hospital.

The hospital would soon see a slew of positive changes with improved medical services and other facilities for patients and their wards, Dube said. During his inspection, the commissioner was accompanied by superintendent of Chacha
