HPCA condemns Vigilance case

Friday, 02 August 2013 | PNS | Shimla

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association has strongly condemned what it called "villified and politically motivated" cases registered by the vigilance department.

"These are far from reality and aimed at garnering cheap publicity to divert the attention of the people of the state from more pressing and important issues of the people of the state," Mohit Sood, press secretary of HPCA said in a statement. The statement urged the Congress government in Himachal to be more responsible and positive in their approach towards sports and sportspersons and desist from using the state machinery for cheap political gains and publicity.
