The State government reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Formula One race at Buddha International Circuit at Greater Noida from to be held from October 25 to 27 next.
Industrial Development Commissioner (IDC) Alok Ranjan chairing the meeting said here on Tuesday that the Formula One is a prestigious sports event of the world and directed the officials to provide better facilities. He also directed that adequate security should be provide while all the logistics should be completed within the time frame.
F1 is being organised by JP Sports International at Buddha International circuit and this would be the third year of racing. The IDC directed that a 15 kilometer entry ramp should be constructed by October 15 for parking of 25,000 vehicles near the Buddha International Circuit.
Meanwhile JP Group senior Vice- President Quamar Ahmed informed in the meeting that the company will sell 65514 tickets for FI. He said as per the estimates 19,439 vehicles would carrying 42875 spectators to the venue while the remaining would reach through other means.
"There would be 100 pre-booked buses from Noida city centre metro station while radio cabs and shuttle buses would also be pressed into the service," Ahmed said.
