Shashi Ranjan Prasad, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal, here on Wednesday inaugurated the Transporters B2B portal, Packing Box and Wood management system in a simple ceremony organised at the 3rd floor conference hall, BHEl, Bhopal.

The systems have been jointly developed by logistics and IFX division to improve coordination between BHEl and the logistic providers for on line monitoring of critical consignments. On this occasion Dheeman Sen, GM (P&D, IT & Feeders); Subhash Saxena, GM (logistics, PMG and CMG), all general managers; Satyanarayan,  AGM (logistics); Dr Mukesh Arora (AGM-IFX); MP Deshpande (Sr Manager-logistics); Deepa Prabhakar (DGM-IFX),  Shikha Saxena (Manager-IFX) and Megha Rastogi (Sr Manager-IFX) along with other senior officials were present.

Transporter’s B2B system will help improve communication with transporters resulting in better vehicle planning, placement and tracking of vehicles. This system brings all vendors under a single network. This helps the BHEl monitor the order flow in these units. In addition to this it will give online access to transporters regarding their general queries in a fair and transparent manner.

On line work flow based Packing Shed Management System is designed for meeting packing box/ sets requirement of the various warehouses spread all over the factory.  This system will improve the efficiency of the process by eliminating the paper work in the process and the delay in physical movement of documents. The on line system will help in effective monitoring of Packing boxes by all users and thereby facilitate timely dispatches.
