Kalkaji gets facelift: Rekha Gupta inaugurates wall art

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the wall art in Kalkaji. She announced that, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, two parks will be developed in Kalkaji, and three water ATM plants will be installed for slum dwellers.

Additionally, 150 solar lights will also be installed in the area.

The Chief Minister highlighted that these projects will contribute to the enhancement of infrastructure in Delhi. The event was attended by MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Local Councilor Yogita Singh, and other dignitaries.

Speaking on this occasion, Rekha Gupta emphasised that this initiative aligns with the Government’s commitment to making Delhi cleaner, more beautiful and well-developed. She highlighted that wall art will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the city but will also serve as a medium for conveying social and cultural messages. She further informed that this project, developed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at a cost of ` one crore, will not only beautify the area but also promote cleanliness and awareness.

The Chief Minister also stated that the government remains committed to ensuring that every part of Delhi is well-organised and developed.

As part of this vision, two parks in Kalkaji will be developed with a budget of Rs one crore in collaboration with Petronet LNG Limited, providing a clean and green environment for local residents. Furthermore, three water ATM plants will be installed in the slum areas of Kalkaji at a cost of Rs one crore, sponsored by Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

She also announced that, in collaboration with Indraprastha Gas Limited, 150 solar lights will be installed at a cost of `30 lakh to enhance security and promote energy conservation in the Kalkaji area.

She emphasised that these development projects are a significant step toward public welfare and sustainable urban development, undertaken jointly by the Delhi Government and corporate sponsors.

These initiatives will not only contribute to the beautification of the Kalkaji area but will also foster community development.

She further said, “The Delhi Government remains committed to encouraging such initiatives in the future to ensure that the capital becomes cleaner, safer, and more beautiful.”
