The Income Tax Department on Thursday started the survey proceedings at Alankar Jewelers located in New Market of the capital and Golden City Builder's office located at Chunabhatti. In this action started in the afternoon, income tax evasion of crores of rupees is likely to be revealed from both the establishments.
On the other hand, tax evasion of about Rs 15 crore has been found against Saurabh Agarwal, director of Alpha Communication and Alpha Solutions located at Chunabhatti.
In the survey proceedings being conducted by the Income Tax Department on Thursday, action is being taken in the case of hiding the actual price in the sale of gold jewellery at Alankar Jewelers located in New Market.
It is said that the operators of this establishment did not issue proper bills to save tax. Bogus bills are being issued. On this basis, the department's team is investigating. The team that reached here in the afternoon has started investigating the records and bills of Alankar Jewelers.
On the other hand, the Income Tax Department has also started a survey at the office of Manish Jain, director and builder of Golden City located near Chunabhatti. This action is being taken in the case of Jain not paying all types of taxes in the sale of land and building and cash transactions. Jain is also said to be close to the former Chief Secretary of MP.
Earlier, the Income Tax Department had also conducted continuous survey proceedings for four days before Holi at the residence of Saurabh Agarwal, director of Alpha Communication and Alpha Solutions located at Chuna Bhatti.
After this, tax evasion of about 15 crores rupees has come to light from Saurabh Agarwal's place. It is said that Agarwal has not yet surrendered the tax amount. Therefore, after taking statements from some more people in this case, the Income Tax Department will issue orders for tax evasion.
