Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday said the formation of BJP Government after 27 years is the beginning of Ramrajya in the Capital. Taking part in a procession in Pitampura, she greeted people on the beginning of the new Hindu year and the start of Navratri. “The formation of BJP Government is the beginning of Ramrajya in Delhi,” she said. The Chief Minister said she wished for Delhi to shine like the Sun and the lives of people to be filled with happiness and prosperity.
Earlier, she visited the Maa Katyayani Temple in Chhatarpur on the occasion of the Hindu New Year and offered prayers. She extended her heartfelt greetings to all Indians and residents of Delhi on Hindu New Year (Vikram Samvat 2082). Gupta expressed her hope that Maa Katyayani’s blessings bring harmony and peace to Delhi and ensure the seamless progress of development initiatives.
She remarked that the Hindu New Year is not merely the beginning of another year but a celebration of Sanatan culture, rich traditions, and national identity. This festival strengthens our connection to our heritage and inspires a promising future. More than just a change in date, this festival represents India’s cultural heritage, faith, and nationalism. It offers an opportunity for introspection on how far we have progressed in our commitment to re-establishing India as a ‘Vishwaguru’ (world leader).
Extending her best wishes for the Hindu New Year, Gupta reiterated the Government’s unwavering commitment to preserving culture, contributing to societal development, and fulfilling the vision of making India a ‘Vishwaguru.’
Later, she attended a felicitation ceremony organised by the Delhi BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha on the occasion of Rajasthan Day in the presence of State President Virendra Sachdeva. The event commenced with traditional Rajasthani folk songs and Sachdeva and Gupta were welcomed with a Rajasthani turban and sword. Additionally, Scheduled Tribe Morcha President CL Meena presented certain demands of the tribal community to the Chief Minister, to which she assured fulfillment.
Gupta expressed gratitude for being felicitated on Rajasthan Day, stating that this event has marked the beginning of a new chapter in uniting different sections of society in Delhi. She assured that all the demands presented during the event would be fulfilled.
