The stolen goods included a Royal Enfield Hunter motorcycle, which Jain had purchased using the stolen money, a gold chain, ?30,000 in cash, and duplicate keys. The crime was uncovered through CCTV footage, which identified Adi Jain, the son of the complainant’s landlord, as the perpetrator.
The incident took place on March 28 when Dr. Vipin Tiwari, a resident of Shankaracharya Nagar, Bhopal, reported that ?3.3 lakh in cash and a gold chain worth ?4.1 lakh had been stolen from his rented room. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, police confirmed Jain’s involvement, leading to his arrest and subsequent confession.
