In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Ramnavami celebrations, the East Singhbhum district administration has implemented extensive security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all residents. To reinforce law enforcement preparedness, a mock drill was conducted at the Police Center in Golmuri under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kishore Kaushal with the Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Shivashish also present.
The drill aimed at enhancing the response capability of security forces in handling potential disturbances, anti-social elements, and emergency situations during the festive period. Officers practiced various crowd control techniques, riot management strategies, and swift intervention tactics to address any adverse circumstances that might arise.
With nearly 160 licensed akharas set to participate in the Ramnavami immersion processions, the district administration has taken proactive steps to ensure a smooth and incident-free event. The security plan includes the deployment of police personnel, quick response teams (QRTs), and surveillance units across sensitive areas of the city.
Key measures being implemented include: Increased Police Presence: Hundreds of security personnel will be deployed at strategic locations, especially along immersion routes.
CCTV Surveillance: The administration has installed high-resolution CCTV cameras to monitor processions and prevent any unlawful activities. Traffic Diversions: Special traffic arrangements have been made to ensure uninterrupted movement of devotees and the general public.
Anti-Riot Measures: Security forces have been equipped with protective gear, barricades, and rapid action units to tackle any untoward incidents.
Authorities have also held meetings with akharas and religious leaders, urging them to cooperate with law enforcement officials and maintain peace and communal harmony during the celebrations.
With the approaching Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, security measures have been intensified to ensure a peaceful observance of the festival. District Collector Ananya Mittal has personally reviewed the arrangements, ensuring that security protocols are strictly followed across the city.
Deployment of 110 Magistrates: These officials will be strategically placed throughout Jamshedpur to oversee law enforcement operations and prevent any disturbances.
Heightened Vigilance Around Mosques: Security forces will be stationed near major mosques and Eidgahs to manage large congregations during Eid prayers.
Community Engagement: Authorities have engaged with Muslim community leaders, urging them to promote peace, brotherhood, and social harmony during the celebrations.
Night Patrolling & Anti-Mischief Operations: Police teams have intensified night patrolling and are closely monitoring anti-social elements to deter any potential security threats.
With Eid and Ramnavami falling in close succession, the district administration has appealed to all communities to celebrate the festivals with mutual respect and harmony. Security officials have assured citizens that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the peace.
