Veteran journalist on reshuffle news

Recently, a veteran journalist gave advice to media colleagues on writing about the chances of a Cabinet reshuffle. He said that in every democratic country, normally before the Parliament Session or after the Session, speculative reports about a possible Cabinet reshuffle will emerge. In India too, such news reports start flowing in, and reams are written and said about such speculations, but when their predictions get weak, then these reports are spiced with materials of auspicious and inauspicious months and days. “Holi, Diwali, Hindu New Year, Sawan, Pitrupaksha speculations and plants are more read on speculations of Cabinet reshuffles,” quipped the veteran journalist who himself was part of the Government once upon a time.
