US shoots down two Iranian drones amid rising Gulf tensions

The United States has shot down several Iranian drones heading toward the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, marking another escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.
According to the US military, the drones posed a threat to maritime traffic and regional security.
In response, American forces also carried out strikes on Iranian coastal radar and surveillance sites to prevent further attacks.
Iran strongly condemned the US action, calling it a violation of the existing ceasefire and warning of consequences.
Shortly after the drone interceptions, Iran reportedly launched missiles and drones toward Kuwait and Bahrain, both key US allies in the Gulf region.
Most of the incoming threats were intercepted by defense systems, and no major casualties were reported.
The latest exchange has raised concerns about the stability of the region and the future of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most important energy routes, and any disruption there could have significant global economic and security implications.
