Chhattisgarh: Three workers killed, eight injured after vehicle collision in Balrampur

Three workers lost their lives and eight others were injured after a mini goods vehicle collided with a truck in Chhattisgarh's Balrampur district in the early hours of Saturday, August 22, police said.
The accident took place around 2 am near Sevari village on Rajpur-Kusmi Road, when the goods vehicle carrying 11 people was travelling from Pratappur towards Shankargarh, said Bhardwaj Singh, station house officer of Rajpur police station.
Three of the workers died at the scene, while eight others were injured, seven of them seriously, he said.
The injured were taken to a local community health centre, from where some were referred to the Medical College Hospital in Ambikapur for further treatment, the SHO said.
Two of the critically injured are being moved to Raipur given the seriousness of their condition, he added, noting that the bodies of the deceased have been sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination. (with inputs from PTI)
