Three arrested for allegedly arranging jobs for illegal Bangladeshi nationals in Mangaluru

Three men have been arrested in Karnataka's Mangaluru for allegedly helping undocumented Bangladeshi nationals secure jobs at construction sites. According to the police, the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into a network suspected of facilitating employment for foreign nationals staying in India without valid documents.
Authorities said the accused allegedly connected workers with contractors and arranged jobs at multiple construction projects in the city.
The action follows recent police verification drives in Mangaluru that led to the detention of several Bangladeshi nationals suspected of residing and working in the country without valid travel or immigration documents.
Investigators are now examining whether the arrested men were part of a larger network involved in recruiting and placing undocumented workers. Officials are also looking into the role of contractors and others who may have been aware of the workers' immigration status.
Police said the investigation is continuing to identify additional individuals connected to the alleged racket and to verify the employment records of workers at various construction sites. Authorities have indicated that further legal action may follow as the probe progresses.
