Teen stabbed to death over ₹150 dispute in West Delhi

A 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area following a dispute over Rs 150, with police apprehending three juveniles in connection with the incident, officials said on Wednesday.
According to police, the victim, identified as Paras, was attacked after an argument over money allegedly borrowed from one of the accused. The incident took place on the night of June 21.
Officials said the confrontation initially began as a verbal altercation, after which the victim attempted to flee the spot. However, the accused allegedly tracked him down again and assaulted him near Chowkhandi area around 12:15 am, during which he sustained multiple stab injuries.
Paras was later found injured near his residence and was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital by family members, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police said a PCR call was received from the victim’s sister, following which teams reached the spot and found blood stains in the area. CCTV footage and local intelligence inputs helped investigators identify and apprehend the three juveniles from a park in the locality.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly told police that the dispute stemmed from Rs 150 that the victim had allegedly taken and failed to return several weeks ago, which escalated into repeated confrontations.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
