Teen stabbed to death in New Usmanpur, 3 held within hours

A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death in Northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area late on Monday night, with police claiming to have solved the case within hours and apprehended three suspects, including two juveniles.
Police said they received information about the incident at around 10.25 pm on June 1. A team from New Usmanpur police station rushed to the spot and found the teenager lying on the ground with stab injuries. He was declared dead at the scene.
Following the incident, a forensic team inspected the crime scene and collected evidence. Based on preliminary findings, police registered an FIR under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to murder.
The police said the victim had been stabbed during the attack. Multiple police teams were deployed to identify and trace those involved.
According to police, three suspects were apprehended within hours of the crime. They were identified as Nikki, 21, and two 17-year-old juveniles in conflict with the law (CCLs).
During questioning, the accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the killing and told investigators that they had an ongoing dispute with the victim. Police said the victim and the accused belonged to the same community.
Officials have not disclosed the exact nature of the dispute that allegedly led to the murder. The body was sent for post-mortem examination, while investigators continued to collect evidence and verify the sequence of events.
Police said further investigation is underway to establish the motive behind the killing and determine whether any other individuals were involved in the crime.
