TCS Nashik Case: Former AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel comes under scanner after mention in chargesheet

Former AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel has come under scrutiny after his name reportedly surfaced in the chargesheet related to the alleged religious conversion and sexual harassment case at the Nashik branch of Tata Consultancy Services.
According to reports, AIMIM corporator Matin Patel repeatedly referred investigators to Jaleel when questioned about the whereabouts of Nida Khan, one of the accused in the case. Crime Branch officials reportedly questioned Patel for several hours as part of the ongoing probe.
Nida Khan was arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on May 7. Police have alleged that Patel provided shelter to her before her arrest. Investigators are examining statements and evidence collected during the probe, and reports suggest Jaleel may be summoned for questioning based on witness accounts and details mentioned in the chargesheet.
The case has also triggered a political controversy in Maharashtra. Earlier, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation demolished allegedly unauthorized structures linked to Patel, prompting criticism from Jaleel, who questioned the action and defended Patel’s family members.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nashik Police is currently probing nine cases linked to the allegations involving the TCS Nashik unit. TCS has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion, stating that employees allegedly involved in misconduct have been suspended pending investigation.
Authorities have not announced any charges against Jaleel, and the investigation remains ongoing.
