12-year-old boy dies after falling from tractor-trolley carrying Kanwariyas in Bareilly
A 12-year-old boy died after falling from a tractor-trolley carrying a group of Kanwariyas and coming under its wheels in Bareilly district on Sunday night, police said.
The incident took place in the Bithri Chainpur police station area, they said.
The group was returning to Bisalpur in Pilibhit district after collecting Ganga water from Kachla Ghat in Budaun district, police said.
The deceased was identified as Nishu. He was travelling on the tractor-trolley when he suddenly fell and came under its wheels, dying on the spot, police said.
Circle Officer (Highway) Devesh Singh said police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and took necessary action.
The family took the body to their home in Bisalpur without opting for a post-mortem, police said.
