Tata AIG CSR Powers SLF’s School Zone Safety at Prayagraj

SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF), supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd., has implemented a comprehensive school zone safety treatment at JBS Public School, Prayagraj. As part of this intervention, SLF today conducted a multi-stakeholder school zone safety walkthrough to review the effectiveness of the measures and strengthen on-ground coordination.
The school zone safety treatment at JBS Public School is the most recent among several interventions implemented by SLF in Prayagraj under its Zero Fatality District (ZFD) Programme, whereby SLF works with district administrations to eliminate preventable road crash fatalities through a data-driven, systems-based approach.
The programme focuses on mitigating engineering risks, strengthening enforcement, improving post-crash emergency response, and building institutional and community capacity.
Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, the ZFD Programme is being scaled nationally across the 100 most high-risk districts identified using a composite road crash severity index.
SLF’s safety intervention at the stretch near JBS Public School, Prayagraj, on Rewa Road (NH-30) aims to address the lack of essential road safety infrastructure.
SLF’s other interventions in Prayagraj under the ZFD Programme include similar safety measures comprising rigorous road infrastructure improvements at ‘blackspots’ or high-fatality locations/corridors.
