Bihar Govt Under Nitish’s Guidance: Vijay Choudhary
Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Saturday said the Samrat Choudhary Government was working under the guidance of Nitish Kumar. Addressing a press conference at the JD(U) headquarters in Patna, he said the Opposition was trying to raise a false alarm that communalism was rife under the BJP-led NDA Government in the State. “Chief Minister Choudhary has time and again clarified that the present Government is being run under the guidance of Nitish Kumar, and that there will be zero-tolerance towards communalism,” he said. “A fabricated perception has been created by Opposition parties that the BJP ignites communalism. On the contrary, during their own rule in the State, they projected themselves as protectors of minorities while doing nothing for their upliftment,” he claimed.

Mass Protest in Bengal Over TMC Workers’ Threats
Demanding safety after counting of votes, hundreds of villagers staged a protest in Falta in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district on Saturday, alleging they were receiving life threats from TMC workers in the area.
The protesters, many of them women and holding BJP flags, blocked the road in Hasimnagar village, alleging that local panchayat pradhan Israfil, a close associate of TMC candidate Jehangir Khan, issued them threats of attacks after poll results are announced. The CRPF deputy commandant visited the area with a large force and assured the demonstrators of ensuring their safety.
