Spear Corps hosts Fusion of Bands Season 3 finale
The grand finale of ‘Fusion of Bands – Season 3’ was successfully held at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar Military Station on January 31. Organised by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana, the flagship event served as a vibrant platform for promoting youth talent and national integration in Nagaland. The finale was graced by the Governor of Manipur and Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, alongside Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, GOC Spear Corps, and former Chief Minister SC Jamir. Six finalist bands from Dimapur and Mokokchung competed in an electrifying contest.
Mokokchung-based ‘Desi Rewind’ emerged as the winner, clinching a prize of Rs 3.5 lakh. ‘Jack in the Box’ (Dimapur) and ‘NTTB’ (Dimapur) secured the runner-up and second runner-up positions, winning Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh respectively. The performances were adjudicated by an eminent jury including Akum Jamir, Bethel Tsuzu, and Arenlong. Fusion of Bands – Season 3 concluded on a high note, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing youth talent, celebrating cultural diversity and strengthening civil–military bonds in Nagaland.
