Sood inspects Bawana Constituency

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, along with Delhi’s Minister for Social Welfare Ravinder Indraj Singh, on Tuesday inspected the Bawana Assembly Constituency in North-West Delhi. The inspection covered Lal School, Shahbad Dairy; the school building under construction in Sector-28, Rohini; and Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Bawana.
In the first phase of the inspection, the Minister visited Lal School, Shahbad Dairy. During the inspection, officials of the Directorate of Education informed him that the school building was constructed in the year 2020, but due to its extremely dilapidated condition, it had to be declared dangerous in 2024. The Education Minister was also informed that substandard construction material had been used in the construction of the school, as a result of which the building deteriorated within just a few years.
During the inspection, it was observed that plaster had fallen off at several places, the flooring was damaged at multiple spots, and the windows in the classrooms were broken.
Regarding the school being constructed in Sector-28, Rohini, Sood directed the officials of the PWD and the Education Department to complete the work at the earliest and to pay special attention to the quality of materials being used.
