6Killed In UP Road Accident,SUV Crashes Into Truck In Jalaun Several Injured

At least 6people were killed and 4 others injured in a tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district early Monday, police said.

The incident occurred in the Kalpi area when a speeding SUV rammed into a stationary truck around 5 am. According to officials, the vehicle, which was travelling from Kanpur, lost control before crashing into the parked truck.

All the victims were residents of Lalitpur and were returning from a visit to Ayodhya at the time of the accident.

Six occupants of the SUV died on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to a medical college in Orai, where their condition remains critical, officials added.

The deceased have been identified as Swami Prasad Tiwari (68), Deshram Namdev (38), Shashikant Tiwari (49), Manoj Bhodle (39), Umesh Tiwari (23), and Krishna Kant Nayak (40).

Police have initiated further investigation into the incident.
