Massive Fire Breaks Out in Ghaziabad Gaur Green Avenue Society, Spreads Across Multiple Floors

A massive fire broke out in a residential apartment at Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area on Tuesday morning, triggering panic after flames rapidly spread across multiple floors of the building.

The incident occurred at the Gaur Green Avenue housing society around 8:50 am, when a fire erupted in a flat located on the ninth floor. Within minutes, strong winds helped the blaze spread to several adjoining floors, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky.

Eyewitness visuals showed flames engulfing parts of the high-rise, with smoke visible even from the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, raising alarm among nearby residents.

Fire officials confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far and no one is believed to be trapped inside the affected apartments. However, several floors of the building have been impacted by the intense blaze.

Around 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. Fire department officials stated that approximately seven to eight floors were affected before firefighters managed to contain the spread of the flames.

Authorities said efforts are ongoing to fully extinguish the fire and ensure the building is safe for inspection.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed senior officials, including the Police Commissioner and District Magistrate, to reach the site immediately and oversee relief operations. He also warned that any negligence in handling the incident would not be tolerated.

This incident comes amid a series of recent fire-related emergencies reported across the region, raising concerns over fire safety in residential and commercial complexes.
