Factory worker found dead in Begumpur

A 19-year-old factory worker was found dead with stab injuries in a forested area in Delhi’s Begumpur on Monday, police sources said.
Preliminary inquiry suggests the assailants were known to the victim and the killing may have stemmed from a personal dispute, the source added.
The victim, Chandan, a native of Sitamarhi district in Bihar, was living with his brother in a rented accommodation in Budh Vihar and worked at a factory in the city.
He went missing on Sunday, they said.
The police said they received information on Monday afternoon about a blood-soaked body lying in a forested stretch in Sector 23. A team rushed to the spot and found multiple stab injuries on the victim’s body.
The body was shifted to a mortuary for a post-mortem, while the crime team and forensic experts inspected the scene and collected evidence.
“During the investigation, the deceased was identified as Chandan, who had been missing since Sunday. His brother had been searching for him after he failed to return home,” the source said.
