Sanjay Raut alleges Rs.50 crore offer to Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs amid defection rumours

Fresh political turmoil has emerged within the Shiv Sena (UBT) after senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut alleged that attempts are being made to lure party MPs with huge financial offers.
Raut claimed that some MPs were promised up to ₹50 crore to switch sides, with an advance payment of around ₹15 crore allegedly being offered as part of the deal.
The allegations come amid growing speculation of a possible split within the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction. Reports suggest that several Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs have reached Delhi, sparking rumours of a move towards the rival Eknath Shinde-led camp.
Political circles have referred to the alleged effort as “Operation Tiger,” which is believed to be aimed at weakening the Thackeray faction in Parliament.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders have strongly denied reports of a mass exodus and maintain that the party remains united under Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership.
The developments have intensified political tensions in Maharashtra, with opposition leaders accusing rivals of using money power to engineer defections.
