Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji Collects Rs 23.90 Crore in Two Days

Riteish Deshmukh starrer Raja Shivaji has made a strong start at the box office, collecting Rs 23.90 crore nett in India within the first two days of its release. The historical drama released in theatres on Friday in both Marathi and Hindi versions.
The film, directed by Riteish Deshmukh, features him in the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. According to the makers, the movie earned Rs 12.40 crore on its opening day and added another Rs 11.50 crore on Saturday.
Backed by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, the film traces the inspiring journey of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from a young warrior to the founder of Swarajya. The makers say the film aims to bring his story to a wider audience across languages.
The project has generated significant interest among audiences, especially in Maharashtra, where the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj continues to hold deep cultural importance. The film is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh under the Mumbai Film Company banner.
