Ram Mandir donation theft: CCTV footage under scanner

The investigation into the alleged donation theft at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has intensified, with police closely examining CCTV footage and questioning key suspects. Authorities recently interrogated accused Avinash Shukla inside the district jail after securing court permission as part of the ongoing probe.
Investigators are analysing surveillance footage that reportedly shows a black bag and a man standing in front of one of the temple's CCTV cameras around the time the donations allegedly went missing. The footage is being treated as crucial evidence in piecing together the sequence of events.
Police have also carried out raids and are reviewing financial records, electronic evidence, and witness statements to identify others who may have been involved.
Several arrests have already been made in connection with the case, and investigators suspect the alleged misappropriation of temple donations could involve a larger network rather than a single individual. Officials are also looking into whether there were any lapses in the handling and security of donation funds.
The investigation is ongoing, with further questioning and forensic analysis expected to reveal more details in the coming days.
