Rajnath Singh Holds Key Vietnam Talks to Boost Defence and Technology Partnership

India and Vietnam are taking another important step toward strengthening their strategic relationship as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held bilateral talks with Vietnamese Defence Minister Phan Van Giang in Hanoi.
The discussions mainly focused on expanding cooperation in defence, technology, and regional security matters.
The visit comes at a time when India is actively strengthening partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region.
During the meeting, both leaders reviewed the progress of existing defence relations and explored opportunities for greater collaboration in military training, defence manufacturing, technological exchange, and maritime security. India and Vietnam have maintained strong strategic ties over the years, and both countries continue to deepen their cooperation in several areas.
Reports suggest that defence industrial cooperation and technology sharing were among the key areas of discussion.
India has increasingly focused on building stronger defence partnerships with Southeast Asian countries while promoting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
The visit is also significant as it marks ten years of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Vietnam.
Defence cooperation between the two nations has steadily grown and includes military exchanges, joint activities, and discussions on advanced defence systems.
Rajnath Singh's ongoing visit reflects India's broader efforts to strengthen regional security cooperation and expand strategic relationships with key international partners.
