As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Programme, 43 nominated students and teachers from PM SHRI schools of Assam participated in an educational exchange tour to Rajasthan from January 27 to February 4, 2026. The exchange programme aimed to promote national integration and provide exposure to India’s rich cultural heritage and best educational practices, organized by Samagra Shiksha, Assam.
The tour began with the group’s arrival in Jaipur on January 28, 2026 followed by visits to Jaipur’s iconic heritage sites, including Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Birla Mandir, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar, enriching their understanding of Jaipur’s cultural and scientific heritage.
Academic enrichment was a key component, with a visit to PM Darbar Government Senior Secondary School, Sambhar Lake, Jaipur, one of the best PM SHRI school of Rajasthan to observe innovative classroom practices and discuss best practices in school
education. The team also visited the Sanganeri Print House, learning about traditional block printing techniques, and the Regional Science Centre, featuring interactive exhibits and theatres. The tour provided participants with a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural diversity and shared heritage.
It is noteworthy that the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme has been implemented in schools of Assam since 2018-19, and this visit marked the second exchange tour of students from Assam to the paired State of Rajasthan. The programme continues to play a significant role in fostering cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and educational collaboration among students and teachers across states.
