PM Modi to make historic first official visit to New Zealand next week

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make his first official visit to New Zealand next week, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in nearly 40 years.
The announcement was made by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, who described the upcoming trip as a historic milestone in strengthening ties between the two nations.
Modi is expected to arrive in Auckland on July 10 for a brief visit, during which he will hold discussions with New Zealand leaders on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, technology, and regional security.
The visit comes just months after India and New Zealand signed a landmark Free Trade Agreement that is expected to boost economic cooperation by reducing tariffs and increasing market access for businesses in both countries.
Apart from official meetings, the Prime Minister is also expected to interact with the Indian community in New Zealand.
The visit is seen as an important step toward strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and deepening people-to-people ties. Analysts believe the trip will further enhance diplomatic and economic relations in the Indo-Pacific region.
