PM Modi meets Nepal’s RSP Chief Rabi Lamichhane

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening ties with its Himalayan neighbour.
Following the meeting, Modi described Nepal as a priority partner under India’s “Neighbourhood First” policy and expressed confidence in working closely with the new government in Kathmandu for a shared and prosperous future.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said he was delighted to meet Lamichhane and welcomed his desire to deepen cooperation between the two countries. He added that India looks forward to further elevating the special and multifaceted relationship with Nepal.
Lamichhane is leading an RSP delegation on a visit to India at the invitation of BJP leader Nitin Nabin. The delegation arrived in New Delhi on Monday and is expected to hold discussions aimed at enhancing political and bilateral engagement.
The meeting highlights the continued importance of India-Nepal relations, with both countries seeking closer cooperation across political, economic, and regional development sectors.
