PM Modi conferred Indonesia’s highest civilian honour ‘Bintang Adipurna’ by President Prabowo

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Indonesia’s highest civilian honour, the 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia', during his official visit to Jakarta.
The prestigious award was presented by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, recognising Modi's contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering cooperation between India and Indonesia.
Expressing gratitude after receiving the honour, Prime Minister Modi said the award belongs to the people of both nations and reflects the enduring friendship between India and Indonesia.

Taking to X, the Prime Minister's Office quoted Modi as saying, "This honour belongs to the crores of Indians. It belongs to the sentiments of the people of Indonesia and to the historic and close ties between India and Indonesia. I express my heartfelt gratitude to President Prabowo, the Government of Indonesia and the people of Indonesia."
The Bintang Adipurna, also known as the Medal of Honour of the Republic of Indonesia, is the country's highest decoration. It is awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the unity, prosperity and continuity of the Republic of Indonesia.
The honour came during PM Modi's visit to Indonesia as part of his three-nation diplomatic tour. During the visit, the two leaders held bilateral talks aimed at expanding cooperation in defence, trade, maritime security, digital technology and the Indo-Pacific region.
The visit underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and Indonesia, with both countries reaffirming their commitment to strengthening economic, security and cultural ties.
