Israel sends troops into Lebanon
Israel sent additional troops into southern Lebanon on Tuesday and ordered residents of more than 80 villages to evacuate, as the Iran-backed Hezbollah declared it was ready for open war. The escalation followed rocket and drone fire by Hezbollah into northern Israel early Monday. Israel responded with airstrikes that killed 52 people in Lebanon, including a Palestinian militant and a Hezbollah intelligence official in Beirut’s southern suburbs. More than 150 were wounded and tens of thousands displaced. Hezbollah said it launched two further rocket barrages Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 6:40 pm at an LDA Colony residence under Krishna Nagar police limits.
