Keralam CM VD Satheesan holds first official meeting with PM Modi

Keralam Chief Minister VD Satheesan held his first official meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday, marking an important early interaction between the newly formed state government and the Union government.
The meeting comes shortly after Satheesan assumed office as Chief Minister following the formation of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government in Kerala. It is his first formal engagement with the Prime Minister after taking charge of the state administration.
According to reports, the discussions between the two leaders are expected to focus on Kerala’s development priorities, central assistance, and key state issues requiring cooperation with the Union government. The meeting is seen as significant in setting the tone for Centre–State relations under the new administration.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi, where financial matters and development-related proposals are likely to be discussed.
The interaction between the Keralam CM and the Prime Minister is being viewed as part of the routine coordination process between state governments and the Centre, especially during the early phase of a new administration.
