Pak violates ceasefire in Kupwara; infiltration foiled

A day after alert troops of the Indian Army foiled a major infiltration bid along the Line of Control in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri, Pakistan once again resorted to 'unprovoked' firing on the forward Indian posts in the Nowgam sector of North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday.
“Unprovoked firing took place around noon at TMG (Toot Mar Gali) in Nowgam Sector of Kupwara (in north Kashmir) when PoK posts fired through small arms on Indian posts,” the officials said. The firing stopped after some time; they mentioned further, adding that there was no loss of life or injury.
According to a statement issued by the Nagrota-based White Knight Corps in Jammu, during comprehensive searches conducted in the Nathua Tibba area of Sunderbani along the Line of Control, the troops spotted heavily blood-stained tracks, indicating serious injuries to the terrorist(s). In a post on X, White Knight Corps stated, “During the search, war-like stores were recovered, including 1 AK-47 rifle, 2 magazines along with ammunition, 3 rucksacks, blankets, rations and clothing.”
Meanwhile, the troops have been kept in a state of high alert to thwart fresh incursion bids.
