Oklahoma Shooting: 12 Injured in Gunfire at Arcadia Lake Party

At least 12 people were injured in a shooting at a party near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City, late Sunday night, authorities said.
According to Edmond police, reports of gunfire were received around 9 pm at a gathering of young people near the lake. Police spokesperson Emily Ward said no arrests had been made so far and an investigation is ongoing.
“This is a very terrifying situation, and we are working extremely hard to find the suspects,” Ward said, adding that officers are speaking with victims and witnesses across the metro area.
Officials confirmed that at least 12 people were taken to hospitals, either by emergency responders or on their own. Nine victims were admitted to Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, while three others were taken to Integris Health Edmond Hospital. All patients were reported to be in varying conditions and were still being assessed.
Details about the event remain limited, though a social media flyer indicated a gathering called “Sunday Funday” had been planned at the location.
Arcadia Lake, situated about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City, is a popular recreational area known for fishing, boating, and camping.
Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive behind the shooting as investigations continue.
