New ECI platform launched

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday launched ECINET, a new digital interface for voters, officials and political parties, describing it as a tool to counter misinformation.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said the ECINET will integrate over 40 of its existing mobile and web applications and provide a singular platform for all electoral-related activities. The ECINET will subsume existing apps like the Voter Helpline App, Voter Turnout App, cVIGIL, Suvidha, Saksham and KYC App, which together have clocked over 5.5 crore downloads.
Kumar noted that ECINET is the world’s largest electoral service platform, bringing all electoral services of the world’s largest democracy together in one seamless experience by integrating 40+ apps & portals of the Election Commission of India. He further stated that the new platform will reduce the burden on users from downloading and navigating multiple apps and remembering different logins.
ECINET connects citizens, candidates, political parties, and election officials and brings key services like voter registration, electoral roll search, Track Your Application, Know Your Candidate, Connect with Election Officials, Book-a-call with BLO, e-EPIC download, polling trends, grievance redressal, amongst others, onto one secure platform.
The beta version was successfully piloted during the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), enabling the Election Commission to deliver enhanced citizen-centric electoral services and make available all election-related information at the click of a button. Ahead of the launch, suggestions were sought from citizens before giving final shape to the platform.
Since the beta release, ECINET has processed over 10 crore registration forms till date, an average of 2.7 lakh forms per day. More than 11 lakh Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are registered on the platform. Over 150 crore documents have been digitised through this platform during SIR till date. ECINET also provides a seamless mechanism for monitoring of ground-level functionaries.
In a statement, the Election Commission said the platform has been developed in full compliance with the Constitution of India, the Representation of the People Acts, 1950 and 1951, Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961.
The CEC also offered assistance to the election management bodies of countries attending an international conference here to help them develop a similar tool in their languages and in accordance with their laws. Kumar noted that the heads of various poll management bodies had expressed concern during the conference on misinformation. He described ECINET as another tool to counter misinformation, as all poll-related facts are available on it.
Additionally, the ECINET will also enable users to access relevant electoral data on their desktops or smartphones. To ensure that data is as accurate as possible, the data on ECINET will be entered solely by the authorised EC official.
Entry by the concerned official would ensure that the data made available to the stakeholders is as accurate as possible. However, in case of any conflict, the primary data as duly filled in statutory forms will prevail, the poll panel underlined.
