NEET-UG re-exam conducted under tight security; centre assures fair and transparent process

The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination was conducted across the country on Saturday under extensive security arrangements, with authorities implementing multiple safeguards to ensure a fair and transparent examination process.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), along with state governments and district administrations, coordinated closely to prevent any irregularities and maintain the integrity of the medical entrance test.
Enhanced security measures included biometric verification of candidates, CCTV surveillance at examination centres, secure transportation of question papers, and strict monitoring by local authorities.
Officials also deployed additional personnel and surveillance systems to ensure that examination materials remained protected throughout the process.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urged candidates to appear for the examination confidently and without anxiety, assuring them that every effort had been made to create a secure and transparent environment.
He emphasized that the interests of students remain the government's top priority and encouraged aspirants to focus on their performance rather than concerns about the examination process.
The re-examination follows nationwide efforts to strengthen the conduct of high-stakes entrance tests and restore confidence among students and parents.
Authorities stated that comprehensive security protocols were implemented across examination centres to ensure a smooth, fair, and malpractice-free experience for lakhs of aspiring medical students.
