NEET UG Paper Leak Case: Court extends judicial custody of Kulkarni, Motegaonkar till July 11

A Delhi court has extended the judicial custody of Prahlad V. Kulkarni and Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, accused in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, till July 11. The accused were produced before the Rouse Avenue Court after the expiry of their previous custody period.
The court's decision allows investigating agencies more time to continue their probe into the alleged examination paper leak and the wider network involved in the case. The investigation is being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Kulkarni and Motegaonkar are among several accused arrested in connection with alleged irregularities linked to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate). The case has raised concerns over the security of competitive examinations and the need for stronger measures to prevent malpractice.
Earlier, the court had also extended the judicial custody of other accused persons in the NEET UG paper leak case till July 11 as the CBI continued its investigation into the alleged cheating network.
The probe is examining the alleged role of individuals involved in leaking examination papers and facilitating unfair means during the medical entrance examination. Further proceedings will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
