NEET UG 2026: Police use water cannons on Congress workers during NEET paper leak protest in Jaipur

Tensions escalated in Jaipur as police used water cannons to stop Congress workers protesting against alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination process.
Demonstrators attempted to march toward the BJP state headquarters, demanding accountability and action over allegations surrounding the examination controversy.
The protest was organized by the Rajasthan Congress, with party leaders and workers raising concerns over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Protesters also called for stronger action against those responsible and questioned the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
As the crowd moved forward in Jaipur, police intervened to stop the march, leading to clashes between security personnel and demonstrators.
Water cannons were reportedly used after protesters continued moving toward restricted areas despite warnings from authorities. Videos and visuals from the protest showed heightened tensions at the site.
The issue has sparked political debate across several states, with opposition leaders claiming that repeated examination-related controversies have put the future of lakhs of students at risk.
