Naqvi hails Budget as a Gazette of roar, resonance of self-reliant India

Former Union Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday said the Union Budget 2026 is a “Gazette of roar and resonance of a self-reliant India and a robust document of resolve to realise the phenomenal potential of a developed India.
When asked about the Union Budget, Naqvi told reporters in Rampur that even amid the global hardship and recession, the strength of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s good governance has continuously sustained the strong and successful journey of the Indian economy with credibility and stability by overcoming the external turmoil and internal disruptions.
Regarding the criticism of the Budget by the Congress, the Samajwadi Party and some other political parties, Naqvi said that some people have been “reduced to peddlers of illogical arguments due to their intellectual bankruptcy,” and therefore, “these hit-and-run troublemakers are becoming politically irrelevant.”
Naqvi said that the BJP, without politicising the despondent legacy it inherited from the previous Central Government in 2014, has overcome decades of political intolerance and untouchability, and become a global brand of good governance, stability and inclusive empowerment. This “dedication to decisions with delivery” has made India a global brand of inclusive empowerment and omnipresent prosperity amid the ongoing crisis and challenges across the world, Naqvi added.
